Join us for the launch of PCD's West Africa Series on Thursday 28 May at 14:00 BST. The webinar series will discuss a range of topics relevant for advisors to HNW clients in West Africa including onshore and offshore tax & legal advisors, local financial advisors, trustees and family offices within the Region and beyond.

Through the series we will tackle the key issues facing local clients including how to navigate investment markets, wealth and succession planning, family governance and much more. The first panel session will focus on "Advising HNW Clients in West Africa", providing insight on the trends in wealth creation in the Region, an outlook for the economy post COVID-19 and a discussion of the services HNW families require offshore.

The discussion will be chaired by Will Groat, Head of West Africa within Standard Bank's Wealth & Investment Division in Jersey. It will feature:

Emuesiri Agbeyi - Emuesiri is a Partner in PwC's Tax and Regulatory Services Unit. Based in Lagos, with over twelve years' experience in providing international tax services to multinational companies in various industry sectors including the oil and gas, private equity, retail and consumer sector. She also has extensive experience in providing tax appeal support, companies income tax planning & compliance, withholding tax planning & management as well as various advisory and compliance work in the oil and gas industry. Prior to re-joining PwC Nigeria in 2015, she was assigned to the African tax desk in New York where she provided cross-border restructuring, tax planning for mergers and acquisitions including deferred taxes for group audits and compliance focusing primarily on Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique, Angola and Ghana. She pioneered PwC Nigeria's tax academy sessions for over two years as a coordinator and presenter to external audiences on contemporary tax issues.

Dan Agbor - Dan is the Senior Partner of Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie. He heads the banking and finance, power, private equity and taxation teams. His corporate advisory practice includes mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and derivatives transactions, debt restructuring, debt to equity conversions and fund establishment. He has advised on a range of matters including Nigeria's earliest global depositary receipt programme, its first independent power project; the establishment of its first discount house, and Nigeria's first Eurobond transaction and the structuring of an international debt fund that is listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He has also assisted a power sector regulator with the drafting of captive power regulations for that sector.

Kazmee Hussenbocus - Kazmee joined Standard Bank in 2017 having previously worked at Axis Fiduciary Limited and SANNE. Kazmee has 10 years' experience in the Trust and Corporate Services industry with a particular focus on Emerging Markets working with corporates, families and advisors around clients' cross border structuring needs. Kazmee specialises in assisting African HNW families with multi-jurisdictional wealth by setting up the appropriate holding and estate planning structures as well as international companies carrying out M&A activity in Africa with risk mitigating structures. Kazmee is bilingual in English and French with experience in assisting clients in francophone Africa. He holds a Degree in Business Studies with Economics of International Business and is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Allan Wood - As Global Head of Business Development, Allan is responsible for overseeing the promotion of Jersey as a leading international finance centre across key strategic overseas markets including Africa, the Gulf region, Greater China, the US and the UK. Allan joined Jersey Finance in 2015 as Business Development Director, before being promoted to Regional Head - West, where he was responsible for overseeing the Africa, US and UK markets. Prior to Jersey Finance, Allan spent five years with Barclays in Jersey, where he was Vice President and leader of the Jersey International business within Barclays Wealth & Investment Management division. Before this, he spent 20 years with Royal Bank of Scotland.
