Join us for a discussion on digital assets, which will focus on the issues private clients face in owning and managing digital assets such as cryptocurrency. It will explore issues of tax and succession as well as safe custody and risk management. It will include considerations for offshore trustees in working with clients owning digital assets within structures.

We will be joined by:

Chris Recker - Senior Associate, Trowers & Hamlins, Birmingham. Chris specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular emphasis on fraud and risk management. His experience includes resolving complex multi-jurisdictional disputes, freezing and tracing assets and carrying out internal investigations (including crisis/incident response).

He has experience of both private practice and in-house roles, having spent time on secondment to a local authority and an international bus operator. He is also the author of a chapter in the book: 'The Financial Crisis and White Collar Crime - Legislative and Policy Responses: A Critical Assessment.'

Chris has a particular interest in technology, cybercrime and cyber security issues. He has delivered seminars and training on fraud and cyber security issues, including the development of fraud risks relating to blockchain technology (at West Midlands Cyber Security Expo 2018), developments in legal technology (including artificial intelligence) and cryptocurrency related issues (at Midlands Fraud Forum). Chris is also a contributing author on a whitepaper which illustrates specific cyber security risks in the supply chain (including those related to blockchain and cryptocurrency) and is a part time visiting lecturer at BPP Law School (where he teaches on the undergraduate LLB and postgraduate LPC courses).

Georgine Roesle - Managing Director, Head B2B Technology Services, Sygnum, Zurich. Georgine is a Managing Director with Sygnum, the world's first digital asset bank based in Switzerland and Singapore. She joined the company as the first employee after the founders and currently leads Sygnum's B2B Technology Services after having built up the business in different areas.

Prior to joining Sygnum, Georgine was an Executive Director at Leonteq, a market-leading technology platform for structured investment products and long-term savings solutions. She headed the CEO Office with responsibilities for multiple teams and before that its Strategic & Corporate Development team. Earlier, she worked at HSBC in emerging markets fixed income and alternative investments research and advisory, investment advisory and relationship management functions across London, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, New York and Geneva serving institutional and private clients globally.

Georgine holds an MBA (with honors) from IE Business School, Spain, and a Bachelor of Arts in Banking & Finance from the University of Zurich and HEC Lausanne, Switzerland.

Dr Luka Müller-Studer- Co-founder Partner, MME Legal, Tax and Compliance, Zurich. Since 2014, Luka has been at the forefront of the blockchain / DLT development, helping numerous DLT protocols as well as DLT application start-ups build their legal foundations in Switzerland. It started with Ethereum.

Later, he was involved in the legal design of DLT AML, DLT Wallet/Storage, DLT Banking, DLT Asset Management solutions. Luka is also Co-founder and President of the Board of Sygnum Bank AG, the first digital asset bank holding a Swiss banking license with a subsidiary in Singapore applying for Capital Market Service (CMS) license. He is also Co-founder of the equity tokenization platform Daura AG, a joint venture with Swisscom AG, Sygnum Bank AG and SIX AG. His legal expertise is in the areas of regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering, anti-corruption in a technology context.

Arran Grisley - Director, Parish Group, Guernsey. Arran is the founder of Parish Group Limited, a leading innovative Fiduciary Company based in Guernsey. He has over 20 years' experience in the Guernsey finance industry, covering investment analysis, investment management and administration.

Arran has an entrepreneurial spirit and took his investment experience and applied it to the Fiduciary sector establishing Parish Group in 2010, with a focus on serving high net worth entrepreneurial clients. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Institute of Directors (MIoD) and Chartered Securities Institute (MCSI).

Arun Krishnakumar - Partner and Investment Manager, Delphos International. Prior to joining Delphos, Arun was a VC investor at Green Shores Capital. He sits on the board of several of his investee firms. He is a managing trustee at Aram Foundation, an NGO in India focusing on water conservation. Previous to becoming a VC investor, Arun spent most of his career in Barclays and PwC within data and technology.

In 2020, Arun published a book Quantum Computing and Blockchain for Business. He is the founder and podcast host at One Vision (one of the top five fintech podcasts in the world). He was a blogger on DailyFintech, which is the second most read fintech blog in the world, where he has contributed more than 150 posts over 3 years.

As a byproduct of his investing and writing career, Arun is also one of the top 100 Onalytica fintech influencers and one of the top 100 Refinitiv's global social media leaders in sustainable investing. Arun holds a master's in finance degree from the London School of Economics and a postgraduate diploma in global business from the Said Business School, University of Oxford.
