Join us for the latest discussion from our UK & EU Series on Relocation to Switzerland. This discussion will feature tax, legal, wealth structuring and management considerations for wealthy clients considering moving to the country.

We are delighted to be joined by the panelists below:

Thomas Serizay - Wealth Planner, LO Patrimonia a subsidiary of the Lombard Odier Group, Geneva. Thomas is a Wealth Planner within LO Patrimonia S.A. and is a member of its management. His primary areas of expertise are in wealth and estate planning for France and the UK. Thomas is also responsible for the Tax Efficient Portfolio Management services. He has 14 years of practise in the field of private client advice.

Thomas joined the Lombard Odier Group in 2008. Before that, he worked as a tax lawyer with Linklaters LLP in Paris, France. Thomas is a qualified lawyer in France (Paris Bar, non practising) and an England & Wales solicitor (non practising). He also holds a Master in International Tax Law, University of Paris 2/HEC, France, and a LLM in International Tax Law from the New York Law School, USA.

Frédéric Ragno - Client Director, Saffery Champness, Geneva. Fred is equally as involved in the structuring of large, complex operating businesses as in private family trust nexus. His significant exposure to corporate clients, mainly in Africa and UK, and High Net Worth Individuals in the European, Middle Eastern and Brazilian markets has resulted in an excellent understanding of the outlook of these clients and the requirements to operate in these markets.

Meredith Davis - European Real Estate Broker & Agent, Tristan Davis Real Estate, Haute Nendaz, Switzerland. Haute Nendaz, near Verbier in the stunning Canton Valais of the Swiss Alps has been home and workplace for Meredith since exiting the U.K for a lifestyle transformation in 2005.

Meredith advises and assists with alternative finance, renovations and represents both sellers and buyers of Swiss and European real estate. He works with individuals, property owners, funds and hotel owners/operators and a network of professionals.

Aliasghar Kanani - Tax Partner, Bonnard Lawson, Geneva. Aliasghar's favorite field of activity is Swiss and International corporate tax law, which covers varied topics, such as international tax planning for multinationals and SMEs, group and financial restructurings. He also advises Entrepreneurs and HNWI for their pre-immigration planning, wealth reorganization and tax planning.

Following his graduation in Swiss Law, he obtained a Master of Advanced Studies in business law (MBL). In order to complete this master degree, he wrote a thesis on "Merger and its tax treatment". He completed an LL.M. in International Taxation, during which he specialized in Swiss and International Business taxation and wrote a thesis on "IP restructurings".

He is also author of various publications in tax law and lecturer in Tax Law at various Swiss Universities.
