Alejandro Gil Rivero - Co-founder and Managing Partner, Sophós Advisors, Miami. Alejandro is Co-founder and Managing Partner at Sophós Advisors, a risk management platform founded in 2016 specialized in providing Insurance products and tailored programs to cover private placement life,, as well as captive insurance and alternative risk transfer mechanisms. Before establishing Sophós, he was Managing Director for the Americas Region at Willis Global Wealth Solutions where he led a team of professionals advising high net worth individuals in the Americas on life insurance-based wealth structuring and estate planning solutions. He is a professional trust & estate practitioner with over 20 years of client-relationship management and advisory experience in the financial services industry.
Alejandro graduated in 1995 from the Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico, with a BA in International Business and obtained a Finance Degree from the HES Amsterdam School of Business in the same year. He has worked extensively advising international insurance companies, private banks and clients on regulatory and tax matters related to the use of international life insurance products as a wealth planning tool.
Stefano Demarco - Senior Relationship Manager, Latin America, Vontobel, Zürich. Stefano has been a Relationship Manager for Latin America (Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico, Peru) at Vontobel Zurich since 2016. He has 20 years’ experience in Wealth Management of which 13 have been in Latin America.
Stefano is a Certified Wealth Management Advisor and previously worked as an Investment Specialist at UBS AG, Latin America (HNWI). He is fluent in several languages - German, French (both mother tongues), Italian, English and Spanish and holds a degree from The University of Applied Sciences, Zurich, Economics and Administration.
