I am the Managing Director for Trident Trust in Malta. Ultimately, I see my role as trying to find the right balance in achieving the goals of the company stakeholders, our clients and my colleagues.
I like being continuously challenged - and our industry and the environment which has developed around it do really guarantee that! I also love agreeing on a plan and working with my colleagues to put in place the right strategy to execute it.
Thinking of my time in Trident, I would say that over the years I have managed to work well and was able to achieve the company goals, thanks to the continuous support from the staff in Malta and the Group as a whole.
I believe that both as a Malta office and as a Group we adapted sensibly and prudently in light of COVID-19, since prudence and resilience are in the Group's DNA. The core focus of our business has always been doing the basics really well and during COVID-19, we were more focused on our fundamentals than ever before. We knew that if we ensured the safety of our staff and provided continuity of service to our clients, we would be successful.
Because we had already invested significantly in our global technology infrastructure, we were well placed to make the move to working fully remotely. Despite the challenging situation, we have been able to grow and to take advantage of new opportunities too.
