Moderated by Mo Baluchi, Business Development Manager, Standard Bank/Melville Douglas. Mo recently joined to work on a specific remit to develop business in West and East Africa. His role is to enable access, for private and institutional clients, families, intermediaries and private offices to the Group's marketing leading proposition. He is an established figure in the offshore financial services industry with over 20 years of experience in private wealth management. His career to date has included senior roles at Quilter Cheviot, Credit Suisse and HSBC and he has travelled extensively to the Middle East and Africa to develop new and enhance existing client relationships. Mo is a Chartered Wealth Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment. Outside of work, Mo enjoys spending quality time with his wife and 3 children, travelling and reading.

Dr. Andrew S. Nevin, PhD, Partner - West Africa Financial Services Leader and Chief Economist, Nigeria Clients and Markets Leader, PwC Nigeria. Dr. Andrew S. Nevin, PhD is an iconic figure in Nigeria, playing a number of key roles to advance Nigeria's and West Africa's economy and society. He is the Advisory Partner and Chief Economist at PwC Nigeria. He is one of PwC's leading global thinkers, working at the complex intersection of economics, strategy, capital markets & investment. He has over 33 years of professional experience as an entrepreneur, private equity investor, line manager, economist & strategy consultant. He started his professional career at McKinsey & Company, serving in Toronto & Paris. Before joining PwC, he spent 10 years living in China and was President of United Family Hospitals (China's pre-eminent international hospital chain) during the SARS crisis in 2003-2005. He holds a PhD in Economics from Harvard University; MA in Philosophy & Politics from Balliol College, Oxford University (where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar), and a BSc (Hon) in Computer Science & Mathematics from University of Western Ontario, Canada. In April 2011, he was named Strategy Consultant of the Year for 2010 by the Management Consultants Association in the UK.
Muyiwa Oni - Regional Head of Equity Research - West Africa, for Stanbic IBTC Bank, a member of the Standard Bank Group. In his Head of research capacity he sets direction and drives the client franchise development of the analyst team. The clients for the West African equity research business are primarily made up of offshore frontier market institutional investors and domestic institutional investors. Muyiwa has over 15 years' experience in sell-side equity research with a background in the building materials and oil and gas sectors. Prior to that, he worked in IBTC Asset Management limited as a buy-side analyst supporting the portfolio managers. He also has experience in the oil and gas, petrochemicals and food sectors. He is a top rated analyst by Financial Mail. He holds a BTech in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in Financial Management from the University of Surrey. He is married with two children and some of his hobbies include basketball, horse riding, polo and singing.
Justin Maloney, Senior Portfolio Manager - West Africa, Melville Douglas, Jersey. Justin joined Melville Douglas in 2014. He manages investment portfolios for high net worth clients based in West Africa. Over the past six years he has regularly travelled to the region. Justin also co-manages the Melville Douglas Select Global Equity Fund, covers a range of sub-sectors for the research team, chairs the global equity portfolio construction committee and is a member of the asset allocation committee. Justin has over 26 years of investment experience. Prior to joining the company, he was a global equity fund manager in London for Sanlam and F&C Asset Management (subsequently acquired by BMO Global Asset Management). He holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Business from Cass Business School, University of London. He is also a CFA® Charterholder and a Chartered Wealth Manager. Justin is based in Jersey.
James Painter - Director, Concentric, Jersey. James is a co-founder of Concentric and a Director of the business, heading up our strategic partnership with the Managed Portfolio Indices where he is a Director. James was previously a co-founder and CEO of Enhance Group in 2005, following senior roles in trust, investment management and private banking. James remains a shareholder within Enhance Group, and sits on their Board as a Non-Executive Director. At Enhance James was an early adopter of FinTech to optimise efficient and cost-effective investment reporting services to the fiduciary sector. Through the use of proprietary software, Enhance created a portfolio monitoring process which enabled Trustees to discharge their regulatory responsibilities with regard to portfolio monitoring and drive much higher standards from their investment service providers. Enhance Group has now become a global business, offering investment reporting, investment consultancy and treasury services to corporate trustees, fund managers, charities and private clients across the world, and we are pleased to have them as a strategic partner. James is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, and has extensive experience within the financial services industry.
