Prior to joining Waverton, he held a position at Coutts as a Client Director, working with entrepreneurs and professional partners. Harry graduated from Oxford Brookes University, after which he attended The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and served as a British Army Officer (Royal Regiment of Fusiliers). Harry is an Associate member (ACSI) of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
Alexandra Buchan-Heelas - Portfolio Manager, Waverton Investment Management, London. Alexandra is a portfolio manager and Associate Director. She looks after a wide range of clients, including multi-generational UK based families, and particularly enjoys helping with the younger generation's financial education. She specialises in managing portfolios for non-domiciled individuals, trusts and offshore structures with complex international tax requirements. She works closely with a range of trustees, consultants, lawyers and accountants specialising in this area.
Alexandra is Head of the International Client Committee and holds the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients. She also assists Algernon Percy with our flagship Waverton Portfolio Fund. Alexandra graduated from the University of Durham with a degree in History and holds the Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification. In 2018 and 2020 Alexandra was included in the PAM Top 40 Under 40. She joined Waverton in 2013 after completing a graduate training scheme at Smith & Williamson.
David Conway - Associate Director, Buzzacott, London. David joined Buzzacott in 2019 and is an Associate Director in the Private Client team.
David works with all types of clients, providing them with personal tax return advice and compliance. Within this, he has a particular focus on non-domiciled individuals (including their interests in offshore trust and company structures) and those arriving in or leaving the UK.
His specialist areas of knowledge are global mobility, including the arrival of people in and out of the UK for any reason; the taxation of non-domiciled individuals, including the remittance basis and offshore structures; and the Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings (ATED) taxation system, including advice on holding structures and compliance. David also advises his clients on planning for an individual's tax residence status, including the use of the statutory residence test.
David works closely with experts in Buzzacott's Expatriate Tax Services and Financial Planning teams, as well as the Tax Investigations and Corporate teams, to ensure that all his clients benefit from fully joined-up advice.
Before joining Buzzacott, David spent three years at Moore Stephens and prior to that, nine years at Crowe Clark Whitehill. Outside of his tax work, David is a part-time DJ, occasionally DJing in locations all over Europe.
Sue Wakefield - Director, Zedra, Manchester. Sue has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years specialising in onshore trust structuring for HNW individuals. She has gained extensive experience in administering, managing and facilitating the creation of fiduciary structures for private clients. Her work with intermediaries has given her vast experience of assisting clients as part of a multi disciplinary team of trusted advisors. An area of specialism for Sue is Philanthropy and Charitable Foundations and she spent several years managing active grant making foundations and advising clients on their creation. Sue held a number of leadership positions within Barclays Wealth leading client facing teams before joining ZEDRA. As a Trust Director at ZEDRA she continues to focus on trust & corporate structuring as well as handling client relationships and managing new business introductions and business development.
Sue is a member of STEP and holds the Society's Diploma in Trusts and Estates - England & Wales.
Louise Rycroft - Financial Adviser at Timothy James & Partners Ltd, London. Louise provides financial planning and investment advice to private individuals. This can include analysing financial circumstances and putting together a tax-efficient plan to help people to build their savings, plan for retirement and minimise their inheritance tax liability.
In her early career, Louise was a Paraplanner at Old Mill, financial experts advising individuals and businesses on accounting, tax matters and overall financial planning. After a successful stint at Old Mill, Louise took on the position of Paraplanner at Thomas Westcott Chartered Accountants. Subsequently, Louise joined Timothy James & Partners, an independent financial planning firm, and has added to her extensive experience, building bespoke financial plans for both families and individuals as well as building her expertise in trusts and estate planning.
Louise has achieved multiple accreditations, including the industry's highest qualification awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Chartered Financial Planner qualification. In addition, Louise is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a Full Member (TEP) of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
