Marios Rafail - Head of Geneva Office, Henley & Partners, Switzerland. Marios is the Head of the Geneva office at Henley & Partners and the Key Intermediaries Manager of Henley & Partners Switzerland AG, representing the firm in the Swiss–Francophone region.
Marios is responsible for the business development function of the company and possesses a thorough knowledge of the key residence and citizenship programs. Prior to joining Henley & Partners Switzerland AG, Marios headed the finance department of a family office out of China and Greece and has worked for Mesirow Financial Consulting out of Chicago, US in the corporate advisory team, and Bloomberg, LLP in the sales management team.
He holds a master's degree from Brandeis University in International Finance and Accounting, and he speaks six languages.
Marc Gaechter - Head Of Investment Middle East, Senior Portfolio Manager & Investment Advisor, Banque Lombard Odier & Cie SA. Marc joined Lombard Odier in 2003 and he has spent the last 14 years working as a Specialised Asset Manager and Advisor for private and institutional clients. Initially covering Swiss and European markets, he then focused on Middle Eastern countries in 2011 to acquire in-depth knowledge and understanding of these markets.
Over the past years, he has developed the Lombard Odier Assayil Islamic franchise, building a solid offering and a proven track record in the multi-asset management of Islamic investments.
Marc started his career in 2000, working for international banks Lloyds Bank and JPMorgan, and the Nestle Pension Fund.
Laurent Mazens, Chief Executive Officer, JAR, Geneva. Laurent is a French national and graduated from French Business School (B.A. ISG). He began his career at Credit Agricole Tokyo in 2000 as a corporate analyst until 2006. He then joined Credit Suisse Geneva where he covered UHNWI and Family Offices until 2012.
In 2013, Laurent moved to UBS in Singapore as Team Head, in 2015 he accepted the role at Societe Generale Geneva as Global Head Middle-East until September 2020.
New Covid policies and procedures:
Each guest will be asked to produce a Swiss COVID certificate as proof of a double vaccination (all EMA approved vaccines), recovery or as proof of a negative test result (either a negative PCR test within the last 72 hours or rapid antigen test taken within the previous 48 hours). Please note that only the certificates of countries using the EU digital COVID certificate are compatible with the Swiss system - if you are coming from outside of the EU you will need to download the SwissCovid app which is available here.
In addition:
Hand sanitiser will be available, which guests will be encouraged to use on arrival and throughout the event. All event spaces are sprayed with an electrostatic machine ahead of guest arrival and subject to enhanced disinfection cleaning.
Handshakes will be discouraged at the event and contact details will be made available virtually, avoiding the need to exchange business cards.
